34,800. Damn you Shakespeare! But he made words up so I think anyone in the 30 - 35,000 range would be entitled to spit on him.

I shall now rambunctiously vociferate my felicity at these results.

(I started learning English when I was 10)

I noticed that more than a few of the words listed are of the "tricky" type where people only think they understand the word.

I just read a circa 1840's book and there were quite a few archaic words that just aren't used today. One of them even had the distinction of being one of the most obscure words in the English language.

My results was absolutely ridiculous.
I mean, 37962 words can't be correct, right?
Guess it can.

I'm not sure if I cheated: There were some english words I'd never seen before but were almost the same as spanish, I checked them and with the exception of one (which I didn't mark) the rest had the same meaning.

25,800. Could be better, could be worse.

I got 25 400. I don't get how even native speakers could ever score over 30 000. The third column on the second page was full of words I'd never even heard of.

12,400 words. :| That's odd since I use English daily, but yes, there were so many words I've never seen before, and I only ticked the words that I'm *completely* sure I know.

Uhm...wow. :/ How is the first time I got 16 thousand and something.

Either way, I'm super young, so most of these words I don't use.

Just goes to show you how useless most of the English language is

**I only checked the words I knew the exact/full definition of... I didn't select words that "I think I know" or "had seen before."

Took it a second time and got 21,200... weird.

The spelling was the end of me, for instance Dowdy, I thought it was spelled Dawdee. :p
