Here is Patrick Dempsey in his 20s and 40s. I would definitely he is much more handsome in his 40s.

Women generally age less well then men do.
johnny depp is 50.dude still looks amazing,no homo.
asians are probably the best agers,particularly japanese and koreans imo..white people age pretty horribly with the exception of meds and such...

Definitely depends on the individual. Some members of this forum look better now than they did when they graduated high school.
Johnny Depp is 50?!? Wow...he defintely looks better but i think it came in with the territory of being a well known actor. But he was cute then but he has more depth now. (HA! He should be called Johnny Depth...:p)

Johnny Depp is 47, so yes. my mom aged well and she's in great shape into her 50s, hopefully I'll replicate that :lol: but maybe I won't considering I stay up so late, etc.
47 doesn't surprise me. He was already famous starring on 21 Jump Street when I was literally in diapers.
But yes, he sure has aged well.
They say that people who were less attractive in their youth become more attractive when they are older and people who are attractive when they are young become less attractive when they are older. Of course, there are always exceptions of the rule.
I'd be willing to bet that Johnny Depp has had some work done like most of Hollywood.
Not just Hollywood. Bollywood, Tokyo, etc.
When your image is everything, you need to protect it.
It's interesting, I noticed a some amount of wrinkles and crowsfeet around Patrick eyes and yet somehow I actually think that those make him look better than his younger picture, it kinda gives him some definition and character.

Just look at the dudes from the platters. They are like 80 or 100 years old and look like 30:o
Kylie Minogue, maybe partially due to the image.
Pete Towshend looks much better old.

Exactly! We usually think that youth equals beauty and sure, it's true...but you can't deny the confidence and substance when you see lines in a man's (or woman's) face.

Yes that's really true. Many men still look good in their 30s and 40s, and I'm talking about normal men now, not celebs.
Female celebs looking good in their 40s do that mainly thanks to plastic surgery.

Maybe its the hair on the head and and the slightly more mature look because of the facial hair. But still I would say he looks better now even with a more clean-shaven look. Image attached.
and while on the subject some ethnicity's age better than others too. I think that African Americans probably age the best, especially African American women.

I have to unfortunately disagree with you about lines and wrinkles on a womens face. If you polled 100 men which looks better about a picture of an older woman with a little facial lines as compared to a picture of her in her twenties probably 90 of them will say the younger picture. However, if we polled 100 women about which looks better between a man with the same amount of lines, an I will even throw in white/gray hair on this man, 90 will probably see the older version of him looks better. I think it goes back to that whole thing of being more distinguished and character. Many women find an older man more attractive than a younger man and its the complete opposite men as they like younger women. Case in point:
young George Clooney vs older George Clooney and Roger from Mad Men.

That is typical for men. They usually look better with age. For women it is vice versa.
Many women find an older man more attractive than a younger man and its the complete opposite men as they like younger women.
In many cases a woman chooses an older man not just because she finds him attractive but also because she thinks she might find financial and social security with him.
But you're right, men definitely prefer younger women. There's a saying that a man can never get too rich and a woman never too young. :p
