Today as i was pondering if i should take a extra course in Judaism, Christianity and Islam or choose Eastern Religions i started to think about Religion in europe and my own family ect in such a regard.
i stated to wonder when Christianity was on its highest in terms of unity and extend in Europe, i thought it might be around 1200-1300's prior to the black plague, the Mongol-Turko conquest of eastern europe and ofcourse the conquest of Balkan by the Ottomans.. but at that time parts of eastern and southern europe was not Christian so would we have to go further into time? and did commoners really follow monotheism as some do today?

i see allot of signs that monotheism never really got control in parts of europe, my own grandmother as an example uses allot of terms such as god and gods interchangeable, she also is very superstitious believing in all sorts of weird stuff which is very old and belong to a pre-Christian world view, so has Europe ever been Christian as some would like to argue?
