Can I get some insights on the basic differences going on here? Karelian, Russian loanwords, whatever.......just looking for some interesting similarities, differences, morphology. Old Russian to modern Russian morphology too.

Basic differences of what? Those languages?

No, more along the lines of the Old Russian, Karelian, Finnic morphology. The link you posted in the Slavic loanwords thread is informative.
