They look similar to Berbers.

They're basically are; many of them probably have familial relations to Berbers speakers or at least remember a time when their families spoke a Berber language.

They are mostly Zenata Berbers who were acculturated by the Banu Hilal tribe by adopting their language , probably around after the 12th century or rather much later I think. However in my experience , you can still find Arabian-looking individuals in Algeria, I think they are the reminiscents of some Hilalian families but I'm not sure , its hard to say :p
