Some of the questions were rather moronic, such as the one "are you firm or gentle". Being firm but gentle is one of the best qualities a person in any dominant position can have. Nonetheless, the result was surprisingly well-descriptive:

Your personality type: "Determined Realist"
Practical, traditional and organized. Likely to be athletic. Not interested in theory or abstraction unless they see the practical application. Have clear visions of the way things should be. Loyal and hard-working. Like to be in charge. Exceptionally capable in organizing and running activities. "Good citizens" who value security and peaceful living.

The last sentence kind of misses the point though, at least in my case. I don't value security per se but rather its prerequisites: justice, order and honor.

There seems to be an abundance of "Thinkers" "idealists" and "Realists" here in this forum, and very few "Doers".

Yes, I think most "Doers" are probably too busy "doing" in real life and have active hobbies outside of the internet and just aren't on forums.
Madonna is "Doer". I bet she is exercising or dancing or singing (rehearsing) or writing new songs and isn't on forums.
And The Arnold, who I think should be in the "Doer" category, may be busy with his former maid or someone else.

That's true for me too. Whoever wrote those questions must have been low on the thinking and judging scale.
Anyway, where it didn't make sense (gentle vs firm) I voted in the middle.

My results I think are wrong. I should have come back "Awesome Swarthic" but instead came back as "Reliable Realist".

In all due seriousness though, I totally disagree w/ the categorization. "Analytical Thinker" fits my overall description way more. Problem was I place right smack dab in the middle on 2 of the scales. Other thing is for some of the quesitons I was like "is there a third option?".

But really categorizing people is lame. Why would anyone come to a site and take a test to categorize themselves or refer to themselves in categorical terms I have no idea.

I would have wanted to answer both options at some questions, as they weren't contradictional at all.

Like this one: Do you prize more in yourself: a vivid imagination, or a strong sense of reality?

What imagination, and in what purpose?
I am creative in my hobbies and special interests. Which is a great gift. What would film creaters and novelists be without fantasy?

However if I imagine things in the real world instead of being realistic, that is not good.
And I am not a such type.

Also one question about emotions. Being emotional is good in the right areas (like when perfoming sports, when having a face-to-face discussion or affair with someone who needs to see that you are angry or dedicated), but when analyzing, laborating or reading something for instance then you should be pure fact before letting emotions run.
For this reason I do not like articles that are written in an emotionally way, and certainly not people who react emotionally to one news story or whatever before seeing the whole picture.

Like Jan Gullio said in one documentary: "Let us concentrate on what we actually see."

That's INTJ? Weird, usually I get INFP on these Meyers Briggs tests.

I got:

Your personality type: "Good-natured Realist"

Quiet, kind and conscientious. Can be depended on to follow through. Usually puts the needs of others above their own needs. Stable and practical, they value security and traditions. Well-developed sense of space and function. Rich inner world of observations about people. Extremely perceptive of other’s feelings. Interested in serving others.

Careers that could fit you include:

Interior decorators, designers, nurses, administrators, managers, secretaries, child care/early childhood development, social work, counselors, paralegals, clergy, office managers, shopkeepers, bookkeepers, homemakers, gardeners, clerical supervisors, curators, family practice physicians, health service workers, librarians, medical technologists, typists.

The graph indicates ISFJ, which is usually what I score on the MB inventory, so this seems like a good test to me lol. I have always been inclined to serving others in a helpful way. I am a Master's trained RN so it all fits.

5. Which is more admirable:

* the ability to organize and be methodical, or

* the ability to adapt and make do?
^^ What are they trying to test here?! An answer could be based either on what I DON'T have and would like to have, thus admiring it, or on something I DO have and consider to be superior...

I don't like tests with vague questions/answers, but I'll give it a try for fun.

End result:

Your personality type: "Reliable Realist"

Serious and quiet, interested in security and peaceful living. Extremely thorough, responsible and dependable. Well-developed powers of concentration. Usually interested in supporting and promoting traditions and establishments. Well-organized and hard working, they work steadily towards identified goals. They can usually accomplish any task once they have set their mind to it.
So basically an ISTJ: http://www.16personalities.com/ISTJ-personality

I've previously been classified as an INTP by 16personalities, which I think fit me better in reality:

http://www.16personalities.com/INTP-personality

I prefer that test over this one. I think the entire INTP personality description fits me, while this test's description makes me look too "judging" (hard working/decisive) as well as less pattern-oriented.

Your personality type: "Individualistic Doer"

Quiet and reserved, interested in how and why things work. Excellent skills with mechanical things. Risk-takers who live for the moment. Usually interested in and talented at extreme sports. Uncomplicated in their desires. Loyal to their peers and to their internal value systems, but not overly concerned with respecting laws and rules if they get in the way of getting something done. Detached and analytical, they excel at finding solutions to practical problems.

Careers that could fit you include:

Police, detectives, forensic pathologists, computer programmers, system analysts, computer specialists, engineers, carpenters, mechanics, pilots, drivers, athletes, entrepreneurs, firefighters, paramedics, construction workers, dental hygienists, electrical engineers, farmers, military, probation officers, steelworkers, transportation operatives.

Renowned persons with similar personality types:

Alan Shepherd, astronaut
Bruce Lee, martial artist and actor
Clint Eastwood, actor and director
Frank Zappa, guitarist
James Dean, actor
John Malkovich, actor
Keith Richards, English guitarist and singer
Michael Jordan, athlete
Tom Cruise, actor
Zachary Taylor, American president

I just took the Myers-Briggs again for the second time in almost a decade and the result is the same :

http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp

INTP

Introvert(78%) iNtuitive(25%) Thinking(100%) Perceiving(56)%

•You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (78%)
•You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (25%)
•You have strong preference of Thinking over Feeling (100%)
•You have moderate preference of Perceiving over Judging (56%)

This contradicts the independent doer profile and I trust the Myers-Briggs more.

P.S when you see that I am using windows vista with internet explorer it is not because of my own choice but because I'm using a public computer.
