Difference between Puerto Ricans from "la isla" to Puerto Ricans from the metro area

I was visitng the aguadilla coast and I saw Puertoricans with different phenotypes to the ones in where I live(Hato rey)the ones in aguadilla and the country towns were more euro and mestizo types, when the ones where I live are more tririacial to black, I saw that what is said about variation in puertorican phenotypes according to regions is true, just wanted to say this.

Interesting observation.

Maybe there was a social pressure/selection at the start which determine that some types had to emigrate rather than others.

For example In Italy im starting to see a difference between Chinese emigrants and Chinese tourists..( the latter usually hold a camera in their hands ;-)
