Holy crap! Someone else has actually been to the Pigorini museum!

But seriously, its definitely one of the cooler museums in Rome and highly overlooked. And cheap yet has, IMO, the coolest stuff. Not sure where else you could go on the mainland to get a glimpse of Nuragic culture anyway.

Unfortunately today at Pigorini Museum is forbidden photographs the exhibits, i could only photograph the interesting archtitecture of museum.

A very little section dedicated to the nuragic civilization is present also at British Museum, though it is constituted only by few bronze statues and photos.

The most important museums dedicated to the Nuragic Civilization are obviously located in Sardinia, the National Museums G.A. Sanna in Sassari and the National Archaeological museum in Cagliari,
and the Cultural Heritage Center in Sassari where are under restoration many rare nuragic artifacts like the Giants of Monti Prama (30 Statues depicting warriors tall between 2 and 2,60 meters, realised 2700 years ago)

Dude I was there in 2009 and photographed the entire exhibit on pre-historic Italy. I was also the only one in the museum. When were you there last?

same year, between March and April, a museum employee forbade me to photograph some artifacts in the section of non-European cultures, and there were signs that prohibited to take photos.

A lot of Cromagnid influences. Some of them remind me of Iberians.
