    Default Bent Pinky Finger

Does anyone know of a gene for bent pinky fingers or if this trait is of a certain ethnicity or nationality? I have heard that its a Native American trait and I have heard that its an Irish trait.

Native American? I don't think so, I've got one bent and one straight pinky! I'm neither Native American nor Irish.
I also don't think any traits are "Irish" as that is a nationality, and even native Irish people have way too much commonality with other people (Brits) that they can hardly have any specific exclusive traits.

That depends on what he means by 'bent', what I was thinking of was a sideways bent finger, not a finger that cannot stretch.

I have this. As did my dad, and his dad... it's like an instant paternity test.

Wouldn't imagine it's associated with a particular ethnic group though.

yeah, what I am talking about is hereditary. My great grandfather had it, skipped my grandmother, my mother has it and I have it, lol
what I mean by 'bent' is that the pinky is straight until the very last bend in the finger, at the last bend the pinky bends inward toward my ring fingers, this is both pinkys at the same place. I was born like this and others I have known including my family were all born with it.
