Tests Document Readability
Readability Calculator
This free online software tool calculates readability : Coleman Liau index, Flesch Kincaid Grade Level, ARI (Automated Readability Index), SMOG. The measure of readability used here is the indication of number of years of education that a person needs to be able to understand the text easily on the first reading. Comprehension tests and skills training.
This tool is made primarily for English texts but might work also for some other languages. In general, these tests penalize writers for polysyllabic words and long, complex sentences. Your writing will score better when you: use simpler diction, write short sentences.
It also displays complicated sentences (with many words and syllables) with suggestions for what you might do to improve its readability.

I picked three random posts from the forum:
Number of characters (without spaces) : 585.00A lot of Syrians are of Arabian origins, hence why they are dark than others. This is especially true of Southern Syria and large sections of Jordan and Iraq. However on average Syrians are lighter than both Iraqis and Jordanians who are mostly descendants of Arabian tribes. A lot of Arabian looking people are usually found in Iraq, Jordan, and then Southern Syria. Northern Syria is for the most part light skinned and the people often have similarity to Europeans. Syrians also have higher rates of light eyes and blondism than all other people in the Middle East. However there are differences between ethnic groups and as well regional variation. Southern Syria is noted to be host of a number of Arabian tribes.

Syrian diversity is even reflected on a genetic level with some getting far north results and some getting far south ones.
Some more protest pictures to give a better picture.
Also, remember that most of the pictures you will see in the media will be from the Deraa protest, deraa being an area with many bedouins etc.
Good video of a protest from Homs

To me, you can find plenty of pseudo "New Worldish" (meaning, they don't look distinctly "AFrican") looking amongst Igbos (Nigerians), certain Ghanaians, Liberians, and Senegalese. As far as Angolans go, I still haven't picked on what exactly is the "Angolan" look. Now IMO, you can find West/Central Africans who look Afram/AFram who like the West/central African but the African will have a certain look around the eyes (eye shape) and a distinct facial structure that makes them look "African" to Afram eyes. Inside the Afram community, dark skinned Aframs (dark brown) might be described by other Aframs (medium brown and lighter) as "African looking".
Pictures below are an example of what I mean
First 3 are Ghanaians
Last 4 are Afram
The 3 Ghanaians look "Afican" while the 4 AFrams look Ghanaian and AFram at the same time. If you notice, the Ghanaian dude on top (pic 2) and the Afram guy below him (pic 7) look very much alike but the Ghanaian has that distinct "African" look in his eyes that the Afram lacks.
