That's interesting, though despite our economic problems, US GDP and US GDP per capita is still the highest. I suppose they are assigning weight to our high trade and budget deficits when determining that ranking.

I think its something similar to what happened to Argentina years ago, where they over rated they currency, by equalizing it with the dollar.
I still hardly believe this is truth, due quality of life there is way far away from the Usa.

Seems a bit arbitrary, and since when was the French military better than the British one (not something I'm proud of btw, in my mind military spending is one of the worst wastes of taxpayer money).

Yeah. People talk about how China's so great and whatnot, but their society has tons of problems. Cheap labor, pollution, overpopulation etc. America's still light-years ahead of them.
