View Poll Results: Would you fight for your country's existence?
Would you fight to defend your country's existence if another country attacked?
If a foreign country attacked yours and your backs were against the wall, would you be willing to fight for your country or not? That includes having the option of being an army medic if you're a woman.
Also, would you expect other citizens of your country to fight as well?
My family has a long military tradition, so my father will certainly proudly push me even If I won't
You have to be loyal to the soil that witnessed your birth, and gave you opportunities.
But I don't think that a 'foreign country' (contrarily to a group of individuals -> al-Qaida) can attack an European country, or the USA, as it will attack the whole West, and that's pure suicide.

It depends on the country: Sweden, sure. Lebanon, where I'm born, maybe, but probably not (too many Muslims there I could care less about, though I feel a relatively strong affinity with Lebanese Christians). Turkey, where my grandparents are from originally, absolutely not, and I would probably join those who attacked Turkey.
A hypothetical Assyrian state, most definitely.
“The idea that any kind of free society can be constructed in which people will never be offended or insulted is absurd. So too is the notion that people should have the right to call on the law to defend them against being offended or insulted. A fundamental decision needs to be made: do we want to live in a free society or not?”

If you don't fight for your country you don't deserve to be in it.. If your country is attacked and invaded you are responsible for defending not only yourself but your people. And if you don't you are aiding those who wish to take over your country. It's sort of different for foreign wars, I myself wouldn't fight in iraq because I don't believe we should be in it, but if someone decided to invaded I wouldn't hesitate to pick up arms. It doesn't make sense not to, if they're going to kill you anyways you might as well fight them. whats to lose?
This is sort of depressing how many people wouldn't be willing to fight for their country.
I would fight for my country in a heart beat. I would be the first in line to defend and potentially die for their existence. A worthy cause in name of my ancestors.
If Sweden and Israel went to war against one another, he'd side with Israel
