In Lithuania, for example, you can tell a married and unmarried woman apart by simply looking at the suffix of the surname. I find it pretty cool tbh.

And if she has only daughters?

Let's provocate you even further and ask about a woman, who most or all of her adulthood stays alone, who is asexual (so there is no desire for another human being) etc. To whom she would belong? And why should she belong at all?

I don't understand this belonging and ownership stuff. Why people should belong as properties to other people, unless they themselves desire so?
