I was in the middle of a poker tournament at a casino (which I won!) when I got the news. During the last break for the final table, I stepped out and checked my phone. My email had a message from 23andMe, so I knew what it was!
These resutls come as no surprise to me. I expected higher african, however, because it is in my dad and partially my mom. I predicted around 65% african and the rest euro/native for myself This means that my mom is whiter than I could have imagined She does look predominately Euro though.
I don't appear to be very similar to anyone. The highest is 66.52. I'm so glad this is over. Now I can stop obsessing over what my results are!
On the advanced similarity, I am between near east and african. What does this mean?

Mixed New Worlders generally fall into some interesting plots on Advanced Similarity due to their genotypes. I would not read too much into it. A mixed balanced ancestry between Europe and Africa would logically pull your position into the Middle East on the plot. In addition, many N. Wos have some minor ME input, which furthers pulls them into that plot.
