most of the time yes it does, especially in countries where rich rule every thing.
Thats why I personally think that some ideas of communism were correct
in theory communism sounds great but in practice there still is a upper echelon that desires control and communism only makes it easier for this to happen.
Top 25% is actually too low. That is just a little over 60k probably. Maybe you mean the top 10% ? Those guys push you into 6 figures.
Maybe. If you look at it that way, I am in the top 25%. 60-80k, I'd consider middle class and most of those people are pretty normal. So are many 6 figure folks, it's usually their children who are messed up.
I'm not a bitch, you're just angry I see through all your bullshit.
I dont know too many rich people. I have coma across quite rich people though- like a few houses/cars etc. I noticed that most of them were very greedy and tight and obsessed that all people want their money.
I think it is the biggest mindfuck, becoming paranoid.
Rich people can only match other rich people, but theres no many of them, plus element of competition may come up and paranoia in addition.
Poor people think how to get money, rich people worry how to not to loose money???
I've also heard of people winning the lottery or getting rich quick in some other fashion, and completely losing their minds.
Extreme wealth is one of various forms of power. Wealth mostly buys "social affluence". It really does not make a person much 'smarter' or 'stronger' per se. Winning the lottery does not increase your IQ or max benchpress all of a sudden. A person still needs to do other types of work, to inherit different types of Power.
Whether you have any attribute that counts as "Powerful", like wealth, strength, intellect, charisma (just another form of intellect imo)… Power necessitates Responsibility. And not all people should inherit great Power before becoming Responsible individuals.
If you give a gun to a young boy then what will happen? He probably will shoot something or someone. Because he has not developed a sense of Responsibility in life. Now there are rare types of people who develop strong sense of Responsibility early in life… because they have good parents with a strong sense of morality.
Great monetary wealth cannot become handed to "just anyone". If you give it to a complete moron then the wealth will become wasted rather quick. If you give it to an evil person then the wealth may become invested to nefarious purposes. So the acquisition of wealth must follow an appropriate acquisition of morals. And not all who are wealthy, are also good people.
In fact, often, quite opposite is the case. Ruthless backstabbers, liars, and psychopaths become wealthy, of their own accord, because a particular society values Greed or Gluttony as a "Good" value. Is it okay and morally acceptable to betray, lie, cheat, and steal from others, including your own family? In some cultures, a monetary culture, the answer is 'yes'. And so this type of culture will promote money-making as a primary value of goodness. So rich & wealthy people will also tend to be "psychopaths", exclusive, loners… who will not hesitate to betray trust, in order to acquire more wealth. Gambling is also another sign of extreme wealth, as risk-taking is seen as "good" and valuable to very wealthy people.
The "new rich" are not the same as the "old rich". Those who newly acquire wealth are seen as easy prey, potential victims to the "old rich" to steal the new wealth, and add it to their own. For the ultra-rich, life really, only is about money, and the eternal management of large sums of money.
And there's an old saying that goes something like this: "You can't buy your way into Heaven." But it seems, many will disagree with this proposition. So maybe people, and friends, and enemies are all for sale. But those without great wealth, or great power, will never truly understand the difference, anyway.

Agreed, you're only rich when you can afford not to have to work and still live in luxury.
I think it's hilarious how so many £100 grand a year types think they're rich because they've got an M5 and a holiday home They should meet some really rich people and they'd soon be put in their place.
