Why do people hate gypsies so much?

I don't hate gypsies. The oposite is the true. I can but love the Gypsies of Spain and the friendly Gypsies we have at home in Chile.

I never dealt with Gypsies so I have no opinion, not even based on the stories I've heard from people. Even during my extensive Euro travels I didn't see any Gypsies (plenty of annoying Turks though). I'm sure the (eastern?) Euros will chime in though.

I don't hate them, but I know they are thieves and I wouldn't let them in my store, if I had one.

The other they I was driving from southern Chile to Santiago and I stopped in a service station. I was eating my hot dog when i saw a truck full of dirty people with strange clothing, they where gypsies. Tow women entered, a good looking one and a very fat one, with tow kids, wile the tow women were buying stuff the kids were robbing, I saw this so I told to one of the girls that worked there; and the problem started there. I the end the little girl (very beautiful blond blue eyed kid) stole some fries, and they made an unpleasant scene for all the people that were there, that's why Chileans in general don't like gypsies.

Pinguin don't know much, because there are not many gypsies in Santiago, they like to stop in towns and small cities.

Gypsies here are not like their dark relatives in Spain or Italy; they came from Serbia and they look quite northern European.

Yes, there are poor gypsies too, but you can't generalize. Most Gypsies in Chile are urban already and live in houses in Santiago. And I know about same sad episodes that have happened in Chile with the intollerance of same provincial people against poor Gypsies, like a case when some people attacked a Gypsy campament and burned theirs cars.

Attack to Chilean Gypsies by some brutes of the province. In the end, there weren't the gypsies who killed a chilean man in a car accident, which was the trigger of the attack.

Vast (and i mean that) majority of Gypsies are criminals, drugdealers and other assorted variants of scum, and i say that from personal experience and observations as well as coming from a society familiar with them.

I admit that there might be some decent individuals among them, but their numbers are very few. Those are very unlucky to be born in such a degenerate ethnic group, and i feel for them, but can't do anything.

Gypsies as a group deserve only one thing - culturocide (meaning total eradication of their ethnic identity and culture) by means of putting them (temporarily) in reservations, zero-tolerance policy to crime and other indecency, and enforcing education and honest labor. After a couple of generations they might be ready to be given a semi-autonomous state of their own.
