The fact Ahmed Saleh (like Robert Bauval) was clearly getting at, is that the ancient Egyptians were black Africans and that this Reconstruction by the National Geographic portraying Tut as having a "Mulatto" phenotype is deceitful.

Many many Egyptians equate the word "African" with "black".

This isn't even taking into account that the dnatribe of his family tree ties them to Nilotic populations:

Wikipedia suggests he was dolichocephalic. The study of his remains found that he was brachycephalic.

    Wikipedia:
He also had a pronounced dolichocephalic (elongated) skull, although it was within normal bounds and highly unlikely to have been pathological.

Ancestry and Pathology in King Tutankhamun's Family

    2010;303(7):638-647. doi: 10.1001/jama.2010.121

    Hawass et al.

One of the obvious features of Marfan syndrome is dolichocephaly.17,18,19 With the exception of Yuya (cephalic index, 70.3), none of the mummies of the Tutankhamun lineage has a cephalic index of 75 or less (ie, indicating dolichocephaly). Instead, Akhenaten has an index of 81.0 and Tutankhamun an index of 83.9, indicating brachycephaly. From the control group, Thutmose II and the TT320-CCG61065 mummy show dolichocephaly, with cephalic indices of 73.4 and 74.3, respectively. Because there is no sign of premature closure of sutures, none of the skull shapes can be considered pathological. The complex diagnosis of Marfan syndrome is based on certain combinations of major and minor clinical features.18 Following this classification, a Marfan diagnosis cannot be supported in these mummies (Table 2). Antley-Bixler syndrome is also excluded in Tutankhamun and Akhenaten because their brachycephaly is not attributable to craniosynostoses, and further signs of Antley-Bixler or other syndromes are missing or unspecific.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To this untrained eye, the skull does not appear very brachycephalic. Are they taking into consideration the possibility of artificial cranial elongation, in the determination of the cephalic index?

I [Nebuchadnezzar] made a trench searching for the old foundation deposits ( . . . ), and I found the foundation of Naram-Sin, the king of Babylon, a remote ancestor, and I did not remove his inscription, but put my own inscription together with his inscription.

Skull molding has been practiced in Africa since antiquity...its nothing new or weird when you understand the culture.

I do not trust anything the Discovery Channel does after seeing there portrayal of Hannibal as an SSA looking man. And many other things to boot. Discovery is pop history and not worth very much.

Why are his features so drastically different if these two groups were using the same dna? Surely there would have been some Snps (If they salvaged his entire genome) that clearly defined how large or small a nose or lip he would have had. Makes me think whether both of the teams skewed the data to represent the racial traits they wanted him to have.

Because Discovery Channel is about as bogus as it gets. Well, you can put the History Channel up there with them to I guess.

I mean, these channels actually air programs like Ancient Aliens for goodness sake.

You do realize that likely not all Northern Africa was *black*, at least not in the modern sense of the word right? That said, there is no doubt that the bulk of the native population does fit the *black* category, but there are documented back migrations of people to the continent of Africa that could be considered Caucasian.

You are from Mesopotamia. Tutankhamen was From NE Africa. Why do you even care?
    Negroid or Caucasian, whatever!
I don't see how that changes anything.

You will still remain an Assyrian with no land, no?
Your "Caucasian" power i will respect fully the day i witness a modern country named "Assyria".
