Why are you against people showing pride in their african roots? Why do you believe the European and Indigenous is the only one worth mentioning? I am from the Caribbean, the way you South Americans look at your indigenous ancestors is how we Caribbeans we our African ancestors, it only makes sense. And I'm not reffering to this comment.

Don't be fooled by pinguin's propaganda: He comes from one of the poorest countries when it comes to cultural diversity and needless to say, there aren't black people there. So his vision of the world is Santiago = Latin America which couldn't be worst since Chile is one of the countries that shares the less with other LA countries (chileans are always considered to be depressive and sad as opposed to the happiness most latin americans are known for).

That or maybe his daughter was dating a black guy back in Canada

Ridiculous? That would be you trying to desperately prove that there are no black cultural heritage in South America, let me remind you that the continent is not just Bolivia, Chile and Paraguay. Man, from your posts it almost seems as if you were afraid of black people. Have you ever met or talked with a black person IRL?

Sorry but Incanal is right. I can't think of a single cultural attribute that is distinctly Chilean, not a single music genre or anything. Chile is said to be one of the Latin American countries with an "identity crisis".

It is pretty obvious in this forum that Blacks want to consider Latin America as the second branch of Africa. Demographically that's false. Blacks and all its mixture are no more than 5% of Hispanic America. Period.

Incanal seems to protect blacks a lot :S Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against black (although if you search nigger probably 20% of the posts saying it will be mine. He's my friend but in a previous thread were he obviously knew a few black members here say "spic" or "wetback" in the Caine detention thread he said "lol people would never say nigger to a brudah" while he knows the slur spic fits him more than "nigger". It was after the quoted post in my signature.

Well he is partially of Afro-descent.. so I guess it's not that hard to understand? Unless he has other reasons.
Personally, I don't get how spic is really that offensive at all... it's a slur against people who speak Spanish? It's not for Spanish speakers. Spaniards don't get called spics, they get called wogs or manolos or some crap like that. It doesn't really offend me either, but I'm following the standards of this forum, black people make a big deal of it, I do to.

Calling me a spic is like calling me an idiot, a puto, pendejo, hueon. Nothing out of the ordinary. I know for black people getting called a nigger is getting called a slave, But sometimes I forget that, we don't have the PC conventions here.
