I never met a black Colombian, but it doesn't mean that black Colombians don't exist.
Wow, when did I say they don't exist. I was saying I aint meet many in Miami. See how folk take words out of context. I know Cuba is more mixed-race than the Cuban diaspora.
Many Historians believe that Fidel Castro's mom was a mulatta, she was castro's gallego father's maid anyway

cubans in cuba, much like puerto ricans in puerto rico probably vary more in phenotype than their american born counterparts.
Dominicans in New York City to me look like the typical Dominican middle class person in the South-West, the Capital, El Cibao and the Northern Coast who lives somewhat comfortably, who's family owns a car, parents have decent jobs etc., alot of variation in phenotype.

I don't know who those historians are, but I can tell you it is not true. Fidel Castro's mother was a white peasant woman from Pinar del Rio Province. Her family moved east when she was a little girl. I have met her sister, she died in Los Angeles a few years ago, and have seen pictures of the whole family and they were all white Cubans. So no, Fidel's mother was not mulatto and the Castros have only married white people, both Cuban and foreign. Raul Castro's daugther is married to an Italian man, Fidel's older son married a Russian woman, long divorced, and his daughter lives in Seville, Spain, where she teaches at a university there. Fidel's current wife is blond, blue eyed Cuban and his first wife was the Diaz-Balarts sister. So no, that family does not marry mulatto or black Cubans.
