I've noticed Ben Kingsley playing Middle Eastern or Iranian roles multiple times? Do you think he pulls it off? I seem to think he does a good job. Especially in House of Sand and Fog. We watched that movie in our sociology class (Race and Society) and our teacher reflected on the portrayal of immigrants in movies and in particular Middle Easterners and South Asians roles in Hollywood.
She also commented on her interview of the racial identify of an Iranian-American and his Japanese-American wife when she was in university and doing interviews for a study. I don't want to comment on his/her reactions to my professor's interview but I will through pm's.
