My favourite Swedish band (since we're discussing bands and their nativity to certain countries) is Astral Doors
My fav from Sweden is probably Amon Amarth. If the Vikings had iPods during their raids, I'd wager to say they'd be listening to Amon Amarth as they pillaged, burned stuff, and raped (y'know, typical viking stuff...). Either them or Bathory.
I'm most partial to Vs. the World myself.
One could easily devote a whole post to fav Swedish heavy metal bands.
