These men are white in Latin America. They chose to live like that. They didn't have to.

The two men that Bauer was referring to did not choose to live like that. As that "documentary" plainly stated, they were the descendants of the German colony that was founded in South America. The narrator/presenter of that video clip also expressed his pity for them.
Their "whiteness" clearly doesn't play into this. Those two brothers are the unfortunate by-product of Nietzsche's sister's ambitious (and offbeat) train of thought.
