Did not they think of changes in the way we would dress?
If you look at the sixties sci-fi, then its so obviously done in a sort of sixties style. I bet Blade Runner will also be seen as an exponent of the times it was made - it had puffy shoulders, for example. And punk style, which was relatively new at the time.
We just can't imagine any future style, in depictions of the future the style is always based on the style trends of the time.
"A bloke walks into a pub, and asks for a pint of Adenosinetriphosphate.
The barman says "That'll be ATP please!"
What goes around ,comes around, likes styles and trends in hair dos and clothing. This is why I refuse to wear anything but Levi's and T-shirts. I want to be the first to be wearing them when they come back into style

That's why I always go around in only a codpiece but for some reason the cops never buy my explanation

By the way, I think the first image is the prediction of Wikipedia... and the last one some sort of web-cam.
Not exactly, the first image is much more amazing than wikipedia.
They thought of a machine capable of transform the knowledge in books in some kind of brain waves and send this knowledge directly to the mind of students.
They thought of a machine capable of transform the knowledge in books in some kind of brain waves and send this knowledge directly to the mind of students.
It's not a joke: scientists have that goal in mind, and they intend to do it in some future... Look for wetware.
It's only an analogy and theorization of the running of human mind and computers, they have no idea how to 'write' something in human mind like if it was ia computer, by now.
