    Tauro,

Thank you. Very nice series of pics. How did you check whether the people were from the stated cities?
I was doing it by region, not city. Either by surname I did it, or by listed location on Facebook

North African/West Asian influence is visible both in pigmentation and features. Though most won't stand out in many other places in Europe.

Agrigento next. I haven't done that province yet.

An interesting point to note is that Sicily was once an Islamic state. There was even a language introduced called Sicilian-Arabic. This could explain why so many Sicilians have a similar phenotype to some Arabic peoples.

Much of it actually may have to do with Phoenician influences. The Phoenicians settled much of western Sicily and came from modern Lebanon. Lebanese are "Arab" today but their ancestry too, in part comes from the Phoenicians. If you read the Bible, they were also referred to as Canaanites and inhabited coastal Lebanon down into northern Israel and part of Syria.

My, I am not sure why, but people from this region are incredibly attractive to me!

I don't really see much a difference between each area of the island that you are talking about. That being said, I can tell there is a difference with Trapani.
    It's all elemental.

Another delusional diversimaniac. What the fuck is this "big diversity" people claim to be seeing? Honestly, looking at these pics, if someone didn't speak English he could rightly assume "diverse" means "homogeneous." Egypt, Iraq, Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, these places are diverse, not fucking Sicily.

There is diversity as to be expected but really I feel when I am collecting the pictures that I see the same basic faces over and over again.. especially with the men.

Southern Italians and Sicilians are the best looking people in Europe IMO. Nice thread.
