    Thank you Silesian
My maternal DNA, H1c12, seems rare to me. I used to not have any exact matches, but now I have a few FGS matches, at Family Tree DNA, but none of my matches have traced their lines further than 100-200 years back. My maternal grandmother told me the direct maternal line was/is Norman.
My Slovakian side is on my father's side.

As noted in posts he is working on parsing Slavic from K36 (Unofficial) oracle for Eurogenes K36 - 256 reference populations

\i wonder where his ancestors fall in on the CW plot? Any word on the origin of the Piasts, founders of Polish dynasty? I think it would be neat if they were \r1b-cts 1078= the red dot within the shaded corded ware region soon \eurogenes will be able to process the R1b Bell Beaker samples that plots closer to ancestral Yamnaya \r1b-CTS1078 looks like a lot of language shifting going on

Southern Slavs - except Slovenians - cluster with Romanians.

Any thoughts? Any linguistic correlations? Any historical correlation? Any correlations with archeological cultures?
This seems to be THE Slavic core - no non-Slavs allowed:

    Compare to this map:

For comparison apparently a little bit more Northern "AR1an route":

Both maps - are you suggesting the aR1an R1ver "washed" over (= to the north) the core Slavland? Maybe the "steady waters" (to continue on aquatic parallels) where Slavs emerged (to the North of Carpathia*) are where I2a-L621 started to penetrate into the the less dynamic post-CWC folks at the turn of eras? This I2a's would be the drop of water that broke the dam and launched Slavic expansion?

and the IEEE Milestone for breaking the Enigma Code goes to... Polish Cipher Bureau 1932-39

“We know each other,” he agreed. “They say that you follow in my steps.”
“I go my own way. But you, you had never, until just now, looked behind you. You turned back today for the first time.”
Geralt remained silent. Tired, he had nothing to say. “How... How will it happen?” he asked her at last, coldly and without emotion. “I will take you by the hand,” she replied, looking him straight in the eye. “I will take you by the hand and lead you across the meadow, through a cold and wet fog.” “And after? What is there beyond the fog?” “Nothing,” she replied, smiling. “After that, there is nothing.”

So I would look for the Balto-Slavic homeland in the territories occupied by these populations.

I am Slav. I can post my genetic profile which is similar to Russians of Smolensk and Pskov (north-western Russians), Lithuanians of Vilnius region, Mazovians (Poles), Latgalians (eastern Latvians). Belarusians in this project are nothing as me. East Belarusian similar to Ukrainians? Give me a break. Any east Belarusian is similar to a Russian of Smolensk region. Only our Poleshuks and Pinchuks (Belarusians living near the border of Ukraine) are similar to Ukrainians. Vadim Verenich - the mantainter of MDLP project being half 'Poleshuk' or 'Pinchuk' having ancestry in Pinsk region will confirm it.
