Looking at pictures of Spaniards in google, they look quite similar to white Cubans. I don't see that much overlap in comparison to white Puerto Ricans, for example.

Except that I find white Cubans better looking on average. Especially those in the USA because from I've seen a lot of the ones in the island look "acabao's" like we say in Spanish, and I'm sure it is because of the way of life that exists in Cuba (this happens with the lower class Dominicans in the island too).

Still I'm not sure why the whites in the New World tend to look better than those in Europe. Must be the environment or diet. This is more obvious in Latin America or if you compared white Americans with Europeans from certain countries in Europe.

Not a lot of resemblance overall to southern Italians/Sicilians, despite both looking Mediterranean.

Yes, with the Toscans more. With Northern/Central more less to Southern Italians/Sicilians. Not just me say it but also a friend with Toscan origin had said this. Southern Italians are more like the Greeks.

Some of them, but I'd even go so far as to say most southern Italians are closer to Ashkenazi Jews and Cypriots than to proper Greeks.
