I believe this study has been mentioned here somewhere.
However - only one single frequency to determine this? (Edit: I take that back, the mention that they used more frequencies in the text)

    And:

    EUROPE

    Netherlands
    67•37
    Germany (Mainz)
    66•90
    United Kingdom (Northern)
    66•10

    Spain (Leon)
    64•66
    Belgium
    63•14
    United Kingdom (London) 62•30

What, no real Nordic or Baltic countries included?
"Southern Europeans (measures taken from Spaniards) show a skin pigmentation in parts of the body not exposed to the sun similar to that of Northern Europeans and, in some cases, even lighter."
    Yeah, right.

yeah ok so skin wise i dont think any europeans differ that much but out of all europeans skin, hair and eye color wise spainards are the darkest. is this the same study that so many of you spaniards from eupedia loved????? maybe because it falsely helps you feel north european??

    Are spainards european? Yes

Are spainards amoung the darkest europeans? Yes

Would make sense since youre the furthest south obvioulsy you cant look like balts or scandinavians.

I think what is meant by this is not on average, but when comparing individuals. For example George Clooney and Colin Farrel are both darker than me.

Spaniards have a lot of diversity in hair and eye colour. Maybe Portuguese, but not Spaniards.
and I don't think anyone is saying that Spaniards on average look like Balts and Scands.

Well, I can't take it seriously because they simply didn't test actual Northern Europeans, but claim that the skin colour of Spaniards are as light as or even lighter than "Northern Europeans". If you look at some of the numbers, the Netherlands for example has a much Higher reflection that the Spanish - and they're not the lightest Europeans at all. 64.66 vs 67.37.

    Conclusion fail.

Do you know the size of the target population by any chance? I see some suspicious ones up there which makes me question the validity of the research.

reallly maybe a spainard is also lighter than a dane?????? i guess everything is possible with you. south slavs are lighter than the spainards and italians look at the map. So maybe you should rephrase that spainards are darker than Serbians.

Seriously what is wrong with you spainards??? thats the main reason why i left eupedia you guys have some nutty complex that you are the lightest europeans and as light as scandinavians you aint. its clear youre amoung the darkest not the other way around.
