Are Westerners whiners?

Sometimes I wonder if westerners (Americans and many Europeans) are whiners when it comes to certain matters. One such thing is the constant bickering about all the problems with immigrants. Instead of seeing the possibilities, many people are just seeing the problems. Especially here in Nothern Europe. We are not getting invaded, as some seem to think, since we can self regulate how many and who will enter our countries. But still some people sound like there is some great invasion going on.

And take many Americans, they are constantly whining over immigrants from Mexico, especially the illegal ones. Still most Americans do not consider that they are illegal occupiers themselves of the land of the Native Americans.

Also some western European countries are still whining over the times when they where occupied by the Germans. Well, while the German occupation just lasted some years those countries themselves occupied other peoples land in Africa, Asia and Oceania. Take Belgium, they still complain abut the Germans without ever giving a thought to the days in late 19th century and early 20th century when they eradicated half of the population of Kongo. And how can France complain over anything when they until not many years ago detonated nuclear bombs in polyneisa?

So maybe it is a trait in western culture to whine, without seeing ones own actions.

Well, there are good reasons to "whine". The opposite is the PC way of completely ignoring any kind of problem, until it hit you in the head. Most people here aren't concerned much with the immigrants who are coming, but with the ones already here.

It's pretty much impossible to ignore the problems that exist now.

If you put them in some suburban ghetto and never give them any jobs then you are ofcourse getting problems since such things creates alienation. If they get jobs, live among and associate with the local population, the integration will get much smoother.

There are too many at a time of shrinking job opportunities and economic hardship.
Immigrants, especially illegals, lower wages.

Please don't go on about locals being too lazy to take up poorly paid jobs.
Locals need to earn good wages to pay the high rents or mortgages required.

So you DO realize that there are problems?

It is true that some mistakes were made, especially in the eighties/early nineties. Apparently our politicians were idiots, cause it was all their decisions.

However, immigrants can get jobs like anyone else, if they want to. There's nothing that prevents them from working. Actually, I don't even know if they work any less than other people. Maybe you're really thinking of refugees, which is a different issue?

I can't comment on the US/Mexi issue, though I do not like this statement of yours:

Does that mean that you do differentiate people based on their race or ethnicity? That you think some people are not the rightful citizens of a country because of their race?

I worry and whine about the increasing muslim immigration and what problems that may and will bring. Look at Malmö. Islamization and increasingly violent muslims around Europe is probably my biggest concern atm. Since our politicians turn a blind eye to that and pretty much play the same PC game that you do quite often Paleo.

I don't think Europeans should worry about immigrants, they should worry about what type of immigrants.

I doubt they would have people threatening Jihad or blowing up stuff, burning cars, raping folks, etc if they imported the same number of ethnic Han Chinese and Vietnameese that they imported Muslims from the Middle East and Africa, that is just reality. All immigrants are not equally compatible with Western society.

The Muslims imported to Europe were mostly low brow, refugees, etc. The Muslims who come to the U.S. are usually upperclass to middle class, and they are not nearly as concentrated in one area, and they are not a big percentage of the population...so we don't have many issues.

I would be money even if you brought in low brow Chinese peasants, they would do better than the average Moroccan and Algerian in Europe. Sorry.

The big problem Europeans would have is that the children of these peasants will not settle for grunt labor work and be challenging indigenous white kids for university seats at top schools. :-) LOL That will cause a totally different problem when Anders, Juan, and Sergio can't get into the top school over Wang Wei, Zhu Di, Liang Wu...etc :-)
