I can't imagine anything happening on that scale in the UK, or anywhere in Western Europe for that matter. Behaviour like that is very Eastern European, Russia/Poland-esque.

I can't even imagine the worst British football hooligans behaving in such a racially motivated manner. Australia likes to promote itself as a country of tolerance and acceptance, but things like that in Europe only happen in countries like Poland, Russia and Serbia.

Australia is without a doubt the most racist country in the Anglo-Sphere today. Their government may be politically correct, but the attitudes of the people are like 70-80s UK.

Australians like to call their behaviour "banter", and "just a laugh", but I think the climate of intolerance there runs deeper than this.

There's plenty of Eastern Europeans in the UK and they don't feel compelled to go and bash darkies up. There's at least 600,000 Polish-born in the UK alone. I'm afraid this is an issue that is isolated to Australia.

Of course, I don't expect to get a sensible debate from this, because in most people's minds the British will ALWAYS be more evil and less tolerant than everyone else regardless of the facts.

I can't think of one to name, but that's because there's hardly any foreigners in Serbia to bash and that doesn't mean the potential is not there. Queers get bashed quite frequently in Serbia and those people are the sort of people that bash foreigners.

None the less, I'm sure the per capita rate of foreigner bashing is significantly higher in Serbia than the UK, but I bet you'll come out with some bullshit like the UK is more racist than Serbia!
