    Default Easiest languages to learn?

I personally think Bantu languages like Swahili and Tswana. Both have very clear pronounciation and relativly simple grammar. A language with clear pronounciation and simple grammar suggests it has been spoken by very intelligent, forward thinking people. Languages with complex pronounciation and complex and random grammar are generally spoken by stupid, insular people who couldn't see past the end of their nose. ie. Slavs.

Actually one could say that languages that are composed of " clear pronounciation and relativly simple grammar" are spoken by simple-minded people and suggest that the people lack elements of high culture.

English was actually pretty easy for me to learn. I've heard that Spanish (Castillian) can pretty easy or pretty hard depending on the person.

Someone told me chinese is one of the easiest language to learn how to speak. For example if you put "ma" after a sentence it becomes a question.

It depends very much on your own native language.

As a native English speaker and keen language learning, I would say Swedish is the easiest language for a native English speaker. The Germanic connections make vocab. easy to pick up, grammar, syntax and phonology are all easy to understand and learn.

It depends on your mother tongue for the most part. I'm taking Russian and Korean lessons; the later is definitely more difficult, which is not surprising, considering Russian is distantly related to my native language (Spanish) and both share certain grammatical structures. Korean grammar, syntax, and vocabulary are all completely alien in comparison.
