A genius among geniuses, he made Einstein and others after him look like amateur's (there are rumors that Eienstein's wife Mileva Maric who was a brilliant physicist in her own right, significantly contributed to Eienstein's theory of special and general relativity.)

    ....
A man from the same country as Nikola Tesla by the name of Milan Pavlovik has argued at length and convincingly that Einstein's theory of Relativity is mostly mistaken. From his home page you can access his online book, and for those who want a taste of Pavlovik's technical expertise, I suggest you start by reading the Conclusion of his book ( i.e. the last chapter) :

Because not all Serbian names end on , some end on ov, in, ski, čki, ki etc. some are based on the profession of one's ancestors like kolar, čakar, kovač etc.

Serbian national basketball team from the middle of the '90ies was full of those non-ić name like:

Geto has no clue.. He isn't even a romanian anymore..

So guys about Tesla, what do you think about the Tesla coil`?

A Tesla coil is a type of resonant transformer circuit invented by Nikola Tesla around 1891.[1] It is used to produce high voltage, low current, high frequency alternating current electricity. Tesla experimented with a number of different configurations and they consist of two, or sometimes three, coupled resonant electric circuits. Tesla used these coils to conduct innovative experiments in electrical lighting, phosphorescence, x-ray generation, high frequency alternating current phenomena, electrotherapy, and the transmission of electrical energy without wires.

The early Tesla coil transformer design employs a medium- to high-voltage power source, one or more high voltage capacitor(s), and a spark gap to excite a multiple-layer primary inductor with periodic bursts of high frequency current. The multiple-layer Tesla coil transformer secondary is excited by resonant inductive coupling, the primary and secondary circuits both being tuned so they resonate at the same frequency (typically, between 25 kHz and 2 MHz). The later and higher-power coil design has a single-layer primary and secondary. These Tesla coils are often used by hobbyists and at venues such as science museums to produce long sparks.

Tesla coil circuits were used commercially in sparkgap radio transmitters for wireless telegraphy until the 1920s[1], and in electrotherapy and medical devices such as violet ray. Today their main use is entertainment and educational displays. Tesla coils are built by many high-voltage enthusiasts, research institutions, science museums and independent experimenters. Modified Tesla coils are widely used as igniters for high power gas discharge lamps, common examples being the mercury vapor and sodium types used for street lighting. Although electronic circuit controllers have been developed, Tesla's original spark gap design is less expensive and has proven extremely reliable.

Yes but you suppressed language, identity and culture. Tesla was surely Vlach or else his name would be Serbian and so would the rrest of his family. How many Serbs are named Tesla? There are many Romanians named Teslea and it is after a profession (construction). Romania's famous aeronautical innovator Henri Coanda (who invented jet power) wrote how he met Tesla and they spoke Romanian together, actually Tesla spoke istro-romanian, a dialect, but they understood each other perfectly. It is an absolute certainty!

Anyway, I know i can't prove it and besides all Serbs are Vlachs mixed with Slavs so it really is a moot point. All i know is that all Serbs were supposed to have Serbicized names after some point. You do know he is from an istro-Romanian village "Similia"...you guys just claim our history like the rest of europe has always done.

I, FE am closer to modern Serbs, by far, than Romanians from Bucharest, lets say.

In reality, he said he was Serb and Serb he was, by nationality, and he lived in Croatia...but at very least, his mother's ethnicity was Vlah.

Basically, we can all claim a piece of this great man, because i think we can all agree-there is more than enough to go around.

    Forza Balkanica!

We suppressed nothing, everyone is free to identify as Vlach or Serb anytime. What's Vlach anyway? In different times and at different places it had various connotations. Sometimes it meant a Romance language speaker, sometimes it meant a social class of shepherds (like in medieval Serbia) and sometimes it was a derogatory term for Orthodox Christians (as much as term "Latins" was for Roman Catholics and "Turks" for the Muslims).

Perhaps the very term "Vlach" has something to do with the Slavic word Vlas meaning hair, connected with the Slavic pagan god of wild nature, animals, cattle, known as Veles, Volos, Vles, who was worshiped especially by shepherds. There is also an old Slavic word V'lhv, Vlahov, Volhov, meaning sorcerer, enchanter.

Or perhaps we're here on a different trail, not ethnic but social. Serb and Vlach meaning 2 social classes of one ethnicity, Balkano-Slavic as I already explained in the thread about Russians looking exotic or something. Perhaps Serb is a designation for warrior and agricultural caste, while Vlach is a designation for (pagan) priests/shamans and shepherds.

Tesla was born in the village of Smiljan not some imaginary Similia or whatever, in the region known as Lika, not in Croatia, current Croatian borders are a remnant of Austrian imperial, the result of Hapsburgs presenting themselves as protectors of Catholics of the Adriatic coast and Pannonian plain. It has nothing to do with the real ethnic borders.

Furthermore Istro-Romance is spoken in Istria which is at least 200-300 kilometers (or even more) away from Lika.

Tesla comes from the Serbian word Tesanje meaning carpentry, and Tes(l)ar meaning carpenter. It couldn't be more Serbian.

So, Smilija is not an istro-Romanian village? I think the only thing which was considered "reliable" in any way was that his mother came from a Vlah background.

The spelling I used for that village is the Latin way of spelling it and is not "immaginary"...like most of the region probably had latin-ish names before slavs came.
