I think a neurological system capable of generating and experiencing pain is a prerequisite for a true animal (but I could be wrong). So veggies, eat all the portobellos you want.

It may not be a vegetable, but it's certainly not meat or animal either I used to eat a lot of Quorn before they released egg free soy meat. I still eat Quorn though mainly because of its low environmental impact.

I thought they were symbiotic? Most people don't make a distinction between symbiotic and parasitic in any case.

    Merged with old thread.

In fact, they are not even the Europeans in strict sense, meaning European as in bearing the responsibility and understanding of European interests. Poland has always been an subordinate country, on one side sucking German dick, on the other side -- Russian one, some kind of "novice" europeans, who are full of inferiority complexes, hysteria and obsessity neuroses. This is also true for all Baltic countries

In that case, it's interesting that so many hippie vegetarians at the same time are pro-abortion, since fetuses undergoing abortion are shown to have very high levels of pain and stress hormones in their circulatory system.

Methinks the goal of being vegetarian or even vegan is to not participate in mass production of animals, to stop giving incentive to build yet another concentration camp for cows ot chickens. No one would care for fungi, no central nervous system, no karma affected.

The vegetarians I know are fucking gelatin eaters / animal fat sourced soap users
Both shit needs tons of butchered animals. I thini pork sourced gelatin might be even widely used by non-expecting jews and halals.

    Symbiotic Fungi mergers are Lichens:

A lichen is a composite organism that emerges from algae or cyanobacteria (or both) living among filaments of a fungus in a mutually beneficial (symbiotic) relationship.[1][2][3]

“We know each other,” he agreed. “They say that you follow in my steps.”
“I go my own way. But you, you had never, until just now, looked behind you. You turned back today for the first time.”
Geralt remained silent. Tired, he had nothing to say. “How... How will it happen?” he asked her at last, coldly and without emotion. “I will take you by the hand,” she replied, looking him straight in the eye. “I will take you by the hand and lead you across the meadow, through a cold and wet fog.” “And after? What is there beyond the fog?” “Nothing,” she replied, smiling. “After that, there is nothing.”

Yeah, but it's an overkill. People who don't want to eat from producers they consider unethical, can always buy from a more "humane" producer. For example I don't buy eggs from producers who keep chicken stuffed in small cages. There always are products from more producers available unless one lives in some shithole stuck in 1989.
