of course there are differences and Turkic People have been throughout history mingled with different peoples.. As I have written in another thread, Today there are no ethnic group who are homogenous. It is proven that if you mix with other nation then your children get better genes.

Simply less inbreeding, Inbreeding is a major problem among Kurds in Turkey.

Volga (Kazan) Tatars live not only in modern Russia but in the former Soviet republics as well.
These are pics of Tatar diaspora in Kazakhstan.

Folks I've just finished my second clip about Volga-Tatar guys! Some posters of AF joked at my 7 female Tatar clips but the only one male one But Tatar guys are a sort of a macho who doesn't like being pictured 'cause they find it as 'girlish' way It's so-ooo hard to find Tatar guys' pics of good quality fitting my anthropological goals! But here it is- my second clip!

This is link to my first Volga-tatar guys' clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCEqihyMaUc

These people are citizens of Kazakhstan. But their ethnicity is Tatar. They identify themselves as Tatars. I found these pics on the site of Tatar diaspora in Kazakhstan. As far as I know they often come together to rest and dance (and to find a match for marriage as well) Do you see the last pic with two men? The word written behind their back is Sabantuy. It's an ancient folk Tatar summer holiday dedicated to the end of gathering harvest. 'Saban' means 'plough' and 'tuy' means 'holiday'. So Sabantuy means a Holiday of a Plough (BTW it descends from the ancient proto-Bulgarian agricultural traditon).
Tatars livi in all the former Republics of the Soviet Union and celebrate Sabantuy everywhere.

    Sabantuy funny games

Our prime-minister dancing in Sabantuy while visiting Tatarstan

In the last pic he is trying to find a coin on the bottom of the plate full of sour cream (hands off).
