What does he mean by three-way mixing? I'm not tri-racial. Is generational mixing that he's talking about?

I have cape verdean, jewish (eastern euro cousins), aframs, southern euros-portuguese-spain, latin americans, and a moroccon cousins

In my global similiarity the closest person I am to is a full Ethiopian girl. Does anyone know how this is determined becaue her % are off. She like 85+++% euro and a very small % african.

    23andme gave 59% euro and 3%asian and 38% african(totally off too)

It looks like if you are not certain AFrican group you get dropped in the Euro bucket? I'm thinking that high Euro and noise asian is from some west african group they do not have in their database yet.

The results of that Ethiopian girl are correct at K=3 since Horners are VERY different from the Yoruban reference population, and having only 1 reference population to represent what is supposed to be the most diverse continent is nonsense. The same goes for Indians being 80% European, but to a lesser extent since diversity outside Africa is pretty low so it's not a big big deal.

Your results are very close to MCdonald's one:
    Europe: 59% > Euro/middle east: 56%
    Africa: 38% > 44%
    Asia: 3% > 0%

Do you already share with the moroccan cousin?

    Makes sense

No they did not accept yet. he/she showed up on my Ancestry Finder tool all 4 grandparents are moroccan. After portuguese east euro jews keep coming up under ancestry finder is this because there are so many on 23andme of them and I'm bound to match because of the mideast or is this because I am related to them.

Yes, there are a lot of Ashkenazi jews on 23andme but you are really related to the cousins you have on RF.

How many cousins do you have? Most of them are jews?
That could explain what McDonald told you: the jewish is real, so you probably have jewish ancestors.

Here are some of the combos I found interesting I wish there were more peoplel on here so can get better overall picture I have a few more pt american combos:

Most have not accepted yet, but it seems that 80+++% have atleast 1 jewish line. . This is me just going through and clicking on their profile if available or mtdna/ydna if not. I've emailed 5 about the background and all have told me they are atleast half jewish(most from eastern euro) which is weird since i don't know of an y eastern euros going to cv.

I have a few Aframs and CVs that have not accepted.

You are exactly as African as my grandmother. But due to no Amerindian you have a higher European score. So my grandmother is genetically like a tri-racial versoin of you. Because you both also have a visible mideast. I am surprisde my grandmother's mideast score is higher at 16.5% consdering cape verde had a much strong sephardic geneflow.

Your cousins in the Americas are most likely through Portugese ancestry, although if its in a easy place to se,e like if u share at the begining of a chromosome , at a split or in a homozygous chromosome, you sohuld be able to tell what kind of ancestry you share with these people. You may share African ancestry with them. Of course native ancestry is ruled out, lol.

I know atleast one of my cousins in America(afram) thought he was portuguese but his grandfather wa actually Cape VErdean after I contacted him I figured his grandfahter wa my grandfather 2nd or 3rd cousin in CV. Many americans who have CV ancestry think it's PT, because most likely before 75 when cape Verde was part of PT. There are lots of Afram who have old CV lineage who think it PT.
I'm not sure why mcdonald told me in 2 way mixing he could only tell up to 14% and your grand mother he was able to 16%.
I'm assuming your grandmother is probably on the higher end of the MENA lineage in DR and I on the lowest end in CV(since I come from and island considered to have low Mena) I think Odi's mother who is norhtern was like 22% MENA. I am probably the lowest MENA you are going to get in CV. I have no dought that my grandmother has higher MENA than me as my mother suspects she is who it comes from.
