    They spoke Somali sxb, Lee Casanelli the foremost scholar on that mysterious state makes no distinction between them and Southern Somali groups under their rule. I think what you are referring to is how small numbers of Ajuuraan(and others) in the 18th and 19th centuries adopted Oromo/Borana in the Northeast region of Kenya and vice versa.
