    Does this study mention Anatolia?

Because, that's probably where [indo/real] European people came from.

No, and the Anatolian urheimat is crap anyway. Proto-IE's came from the north of Black Sea.

Do you see Norway shifting from Norwegian to Thai due to the recent influx of Southeast Asian women into certain parts where men can't find wives?

Paper in the OP points out that mtdna pool of the Kurganites is likely product of Mammoth Steppe

it appears that the NPR and South Siberia are located at opposite ends of a genetic continuum established at some point prior to the Neolithic. This migration corridor may have been established during the Last Glacial Maximum due to extensive glaciation in northern Eurasia
Thus the mtdna C's were part of the Proto-Indo-European mtdna pool from day 1. This means that if the PIE speaking population would have experienced biological/organic growth then you should have lot of mtdna C too. You dont, thus' -> Indo-Europanized by language.

Mongoloid Indoeuropeans, a good trap, sure catch
Blog: http://terheninenmaa.blogspot.fi/, with essence "Believe me, or I'll nuke you".

    H39 - Thracia 1650 BC, Hungary 5000 BC
    I1 - Transdanubia 5000 BC

    Three simple facts about Finns:
    1. Baltic Finnic languages (including Finnish) never came from the Volga basin along with ancestors of present-day Finns.
    2. Finnish I1 (around 30% of all Finns) has Germanic roots from the late Bronze Age or the early Iron Age.
    3. As to the Finnish prehistory we have no evidences about any Iron Age (or later) east-to-west migration, but many unquestionable evidences about west-to-east migrations.

    Lemminkäinen - I1

I think it'd be very difficult to prove that mtDNA C was part of the proto-Indo-European mtDNA pool from day one, since no one will ever be able to identify the village in which proto-Indo-European was first spoken, let alone test the remains of the inhabitants. So the title of the thread is a bit misleading.

At best all you can say is that the early Indo-Europeans included a Siberian genetic component on the maternal side, if indeed the part of Ukraine tested is the home of the early Indo-Europeans.

The problem I'm sensing is that there are obvious clues of a very major movement of people, dominated by R1a1a1 and European mtDNAs, pushing into modern day Ukraine and Russia with such momentum, that European R1a1a1 and mtDNA lineages, autosomal DNA, and cranial features wound up all the way near the Altai, and even possibly beyond. Not only that, but it seems to have basically wiped out mtDNA C from Eastern Europe.

So what expansion was that, and how come it didn't leave any linguistic/cultural legacy anywhere?

Well that crap, as you called it, has the more tangible facts, the latest studies of Russell Gray & Quentin Atkinson support Anatolian Hypothesis.

    But it sells well

if indeed the part of Ukraine tested is the home of the early Indo-Europeans.
They specifically speak about Dnieper Donets culture which is spot on for early IE's.

Njet, There is plenty of Hg C at Volga-Urals and Caucasus. Their likely R1a1a* carrying male counterparts moved towards west, left their mothers and sisters to east and married local girls.

So what expansion was that, and how come it didn't leave any linguistic/cultural legacy anywhere?
You are speaking their language arent ya ?
