    Default Indo-Europeans & Human Sacrifice

Given that sources mention human sacrifices for Germans, Slavs, Balts, Celts; can we extrapolate that practice comes from ancient Proto-Indo-Euros?

As I understand sources show two different types of what could be called human sacrifice:
    a) As part of funeral rite a widow was burned together with dead husband. In case of High Chief possibly also servants.
    b) As part of fertility rite war prisoners were commonly executed to please Germanic, Slavic and Baltic gods.

I don't think historians can prove human sacrifices in early IE culture. There is no reason to believe that pre-Christian Germans, Slavs, Balts inherited human sacrifices from early IE culture.

Sati (burning of widow) seems to have happened already in Andronovo culture.
Also in GAC and Maykop. Now googling up Corded Ware.
