    Default Eye color and alcohol

Morgan Worthy, a psychologist, wrote a book in 1999 called Eye Color: A Key to Human and Animal Behavior which suggested among other things that darker-eyed people were more susceptible to the effects of alcohol and medication in general, possibly because melanin in the eyes allows for quicker nerve transmissions to the brain.

On the other hand, This study, suggests that blue eyed people are more likely to abuse alcohol.

Severely behaviorally inhibited children, those who withdraw from novel people or situations, are more often blue-eyed than uninhibited children (Rosenberg & Kagan, 1987; Rubin & Both,1987). Rosenberg & Kagan (1989) suggested this difference may be the result of greater responsiveness in the limbic area of the brain, which is involved in experiencing the emotions of fear and anxiety. If light-eyed individuals are more behaviorally inhibited than dark-eyed individuals due to their greater proneness to anxiety, then their greater alcohol use in the present study may be motivated by anxiety reduction. This would mean that light-eyed individuals are more likely than dark-eyed individuals to consume alcohol for its anxiolytic properties. Such an explanation is consistent with the fact that anxiety and eye color are related developmentally. The melenocytes, the cells involved in pigmentation, and the ganglion cells of the autonomic nervous system, which are involved in the experience of anxiety, both originate in the neural crest (Klein & Nordlund,1981).
What do you think? For my part, I have dark blue eyes. My friends have paler shades of blue, and I can drink them under the table.

In this article it seems people with blue eyes are more likely to drink themselves to courage in social settings.

Absurdly unscientific conclusions, very well demonstrated by the opposite conclusions by the first two studies.
Not to mention that the vast majority of people on earth have brown eyes, alcoholics or not. Perhaps, just perhaps, there are other factors which are more relevant than eye colour.
Sometimes there are false correlations which has nothing to do with causation.

I thought it was common knowledge that some brown eyed races couldn't handle alcohol at all.

This is also true for all Baltic countries
