Of course, there is also the possibility that the the whole West Uralic was first about those Erzya/Moksha/Chuvash/Vologda Rus type of features but some of us became then more admixed than the rest or just drifted away.
I think so too, thats the broad framework.

What does this position tell. I can see FI7, FI8 and FI14 close, Chuvash and mysterious FI.
    NE_FI's were Kuusamo Finns?

The SJ appear very outbred, with some halves in Italy, Iberia way and other halves smack bang in what looks like the Levant. (even more so than the Cypriots) Strange, considering they practiced endogamy very strictly post-Inquisition when living amongst Christians and Muslims. (backed by fastIBD analysis) Perhaps the centuries of relatively comfortable living and Greece, Turkey being a cross-road for many Jewish groups led to them diversifying a little.

I could not find my uncles and a few others, i guess they are lost in the British blur?
I once tried thinking for an entire day, but I found it less valuable than one moment of study. I once tried standing up on my toes to see far out in the distance, but I found that I could see much farther by climbing to a high place.

Hey Loxias, I learned how to spin the data on the plot to fit geographic maps. So when you get the image tomorrow, the IDs won't be the wrong way round like they were today, and there will be an even better correlation with geography overall.

    Three simple facts about Finns:
    1. Baltic Finnic languages (including Finnish) never came from the Volga basin along with ancestors of present-day Finns.
    2. Finnish I1 (around 30% of all Finns) has Germanic roots from the late Bronze Age or the early Iron Age.
    3. As to the Finnish prehistory we have no evidences about any Iron Age (or later) east-to-west migration, but many unquestionable evidences about west-to-east migrations.

Another plot showing average positions for both halves of each population. Belgians stretch between French and Germans and other similar populations, Ashkenazis between Italians and Middle East. Danes stretch between Scandinavians and Germans, Poles between Ukrainians and Belorussians/Scandinavians. Funny how Bulgarians place on both sides of Romanians. Another half of Erzyas goes somewhere.

edit. I see that I made a mistake with labels: Mor means Moksha.

I think we might very well be looking at signs of ancient admixture. From what I could tell of the French cohort, distance between points doesn't reflect actual recent admixture.
FR2 has one point among the Basques, another around Hungary. Yet his ancestry is known to be very localized.
FR13 has ancestry from all around the Western Mediterranean yet his two dots are very close to each other.

That Indo-European, ‘Indo-Aryan’ staff looks very Russian IMO. Here red lines connect Chuvash halves. Russians are yellow and Poles blue.

If Russians are proto-Indo-Aryans, proto-Scythians etc. then we Poles are proto-proto-Indo-Aryans, proto-proto-Scythians etc.
