Yacouba Sawadogo - 'The Man Who Stopped the Desert'

A shame that this man isn't more well known. A simple man with a simple solution can have massive effects.

good looking people tbh xD but i have a question. What Tribes to look out for to know that you have ancestry from Burkina Faso?

i have recent and direct ancestry from Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Saba, and St Eustatius. Did any "Burkina Faso" Slaves get brought there? or werent they included in the slavetrade?

Cost effective. Takes little space. Needs very little water. Solar powered. Needs little soil. Great.
It's these simple idea that'll help the world.

I have experimented with hydroponics. This will be one of the things I will get into if and when I make it back to the motherland. I had a small setup in my garage. It has very big potential as far as efficiency in land use, water use and lack of soil. One problem you have to deal with in Africa is the climate. Warm water on the roots is nor optimal.

That's great. Good Luck with that.
Unlike those dissident/reactionary right wing tards and the ever complaining 'idiot pro blacks' who complain about 'white supremacy' every fucking hour they're awake, you actually have ideas and try to implement them.

My attitude on the whole things is pretty much : Fuck it.
If things dont work out I will just come back and "work" in America like everyone else.
This is the future of farming, especially when we will have to deal with climate change.
If I was in charge every school in America would have this, they wouldn't even purchase leafy produce, herbs and poultry. And i still think people should be able to buy food producing trees and seeds with food stamps.

The future of farming lies in using both old and new techniques. Aquaponics combined with Zai method. Basic small farming and proper composting combined with vertical tower farming. And so on
    That's the way to go.

Burkina Faso is restoring Thomas Sankara’s legacy with a bronze statue
More than three decades after his assassination, Burkina Faso is celebrating Thomas Sankara with a new monument. Two years ago the revolutionary leader once again became the face of a popular movement, and the new statue unveiled over the weekend in Ouagadougou formalizes his place in a new political era._

The five-meter bronze statue, which stands on a four-meter base, depicts Sankara in his army fatigues, ready to take a step forward with his arm raised and his face to the horizon. It is exactly the kind of leadership Sankara has come to represent to a new generation of Burkinabé and across Africa.
