Default Do phenotype correlate with genotype extensively?

There have been various people saying different things about this but does phenotype actually correlate heavily with genotype or can a brother and sister look completely different despite sharing very similar "genes.?"

Edit: Can a moderator make the poll public? I accidentally didn't.

Not always in a small sample size like a group of siblings of mixed ancestry. Moreso on average in larger groups of closely related people.

Most of the time it does. But in MGM families, phenotypes can go all over the place with a similar genotype.

Like in this family. The mother is pred Euro with exotic admix, the father is pred SSA with small admix. One of the children looked intermediate of the two parents, while the other child looks more Euro than both parents and looks to be in the quadroon range(75% Euro).

I only have half sisters, but it's an interesting question. One of my sisters looks nothing like me, and the other does a little. Overall our personalities are similar, but looks not so much. Technically my sisters are also some sort of cousins, because their father is my Mother's cousin although I'm not sure what type of cousin, their maternal grandfathers were brothers.... Azoreans tend to be slightly inbred :/

Another example. One of my friends who's half Afram who I had classified earlier on this forum..

    His Brother.

    And his parents.

One of them came out more intermediate of his parents, while the other could pass for a White American. Both are in a similar genotypical range.

^^ I can see the admixture, but the top guy is like one generation of Euro mixing away from looking like Elone.

    ODR fail for sure.

@Johnboyclem That guy can pass for a regular Borreby White American.

Interesting responses. I suppose I should have worded the question differently? Does phenotype necessarily have to correlate with genotype?
