And infielders/outfielders are more often made the face of the league because of their ability to help generate offense (we once saw this with A-Rod and Ken Griffey Jr., before him). Btw, Trout outplayed J.D. Martínez last season (despite playing 10 fewer games). The only guy in the AL who played better was Betts (who clearly deserved the MVP).

If Trout wins the MVP, it'll be because he put up MVP numbers again. That said, don't be so sure. Trout has mostly been wasted on a really bad team which invariably hurts his case. If either Betts or Chapman put up similarly gaudy numbers on better teams, I could see them winning. That Pujols signing is easily one of the worst in baseball. That's why I don't believe in signing players on the wrong side of 30 to 10-year deals (clearly, neither did STL).
Oh no, it's not about race. J.D. is a white Latino But maybe the fact that he is a designated hitter was the reason why he didn't get nominated? I don't know but I still think he deserved that nomination. It's not that serious anyways LMAO.

Pujols' golden years were indeed with the Cardinals. I think he is going to finish his career with about 680 homeruns.

Who do you see winning the ROY in both leagues so far btw? Vladdy Jr. and Tatis Jr. are my favorite but they don't seem to be doing that great for them to be the main two prospects in the MLB right now. Looks like Alonso will be the one in the NL to me. He's white and doing well. You know what that means. Still too early.

ps. I remember Acuña last year ended surpassing Soto by the end of the season. I really wanted Soto to be the one, but nah. Andújar was definitely robbed!

NONSENSE.... You have been the most objective Dominican I've ever saw online when it comes to Haitian history. Even tho I know many Dominicans online who do not have personal beefs against Haitian they still do not have much of an interest in Haitian history like you have. Giving Boyer SOME props(who even many Haitians dislike) the same Boyer who occupied the DR does not seem like a person influenced by far right Dominican nationalism. And trust me I KNOW what far right Dominican(and Haitian) nationalism looks like. Your views may be right leaning(nothing wrong with that) but its NOT far right.

If it weren't for the fact that he annoys me, I would have even asked him long ago if he was related to the mulatto military leader/caudillo André Rigaud, cuz' I know for a fact that this one's family not only still has some social relevance on the Haitian Southern departement (around the Aux Cayes area), but also branched out into the US.

Heard something like that. If he's from the Louisiana area then it probably is possible.

Haitians for sure have a unique type of look that I call "Afro-Caribbean," and they fall within that range to looking like Aframs, but distinct from SSAs.

Allow me to chime in with some unsolicited additional info: I've known El Andullero, for quite some time, we are quite involved in DR related topics. But believe me, he doesn't bother to post 1/10th of the historical knowledge he possesses on here. I am saying this simply because I just noticed that you seemed to acknowledged his ability to objectively present facts. There was a lot on that other thread for example that neither he, nor I, even bothered to respond to. When it comes to DR and Haiti related historical, anthropological, and geopolitical information, El Andullero and the group we interact with are without par, as arrogant as that may come across. And yes, we would both be considered right wing.

Is Steeven Saba full Arab? He is a Haitian player that has now been all over Mexican media for looking identical to our Mexican player Carlos Vela
