Neo-Gothic, but what the hell, it's still Gothic

    St. Patrick's Cathedral (New York):

Arguably one of the most beautiful churches ever.

Poland has always been an subordinate country, on one side sucking German dick, on the other side -- Russian one, some kind of "novice" europeans, who are full of inferiority complexes, hysteria and obsessity neuroses. This is also true for all Baltic countries

I took an art history class from a professor whose expertise was Gothic architecture, so I know a little more about it than I would really care to know.. But this was my favorite example.

Chartres Cathedral (Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Chartres) in Chartres, France

    Flying buttresses:

The roof is my favorite part - the way it looks like the two sections simply pierce through one another, the steepness, and I love the color of oxidized copper:

The ultimate Medieval gothic churches are, imo:
    Chartres posted above.
Reims Notre Dame cathedral - it does resemble Notre Dame de Paris, but it is a later, lighter design and it is bigger, more elaborate:

It would have been more colorful in the past, as many of the statues were painted.

Sainte-Chapelle (Paris) It is not big, but it has achieved the ultimate in airiness and lightness in its Medieval gothic architecture:

If we ignore that the towers were finished in relatively modern times, then the Cologne Cathedral is probably the most impressive of the gothic cathedrals. This church took 632 years to build! The building of the cathedral was started in the Middle Ages. It is simply huge. Sadly it looks kind of dirty, for some reason:

Until building commenced in the nineteenth century, it stood unfinished, with a large medieval crane on top, documented since the 15 century. The crane was likely much older, 14 century, as it was probably used to build the structure until the building was halted. Unfortunately they demolished it and then destroyed it, when they restarted building.
Ps. he says in the video that it is the tallest gothic bulding. That is not actually true. The tallest is the Ulm Münster.

This one deserves a mention too:

Same series as the previous video. This was the second tallest church in the Middle Ages (or early Renaissance) after Lincoln Cathedral, and became the tallest in the world after the Lincoln Cathedral's spire collapsed.
