Some pics of Polish Fighter Squadron 303 - the most successful division in the Battle of Britain, and various other stuff, including remains of German armored columns in Belgium, after General Maczek's advance through the Low Countries.

BTW, last pic shows Belgians (or Dutch) cheering Polish forces.

    Thanks for the terrific images!

I have a few wehrpaesse to Volksdeutsche of Polish origins. The images below are from the only example of a Volksliste Ausweis I have ever had in my collection. Did a search for the fella, just in case he was conscripted or volunteered, and had fallen or reported as missing in action. As you can see, he died in a hospital in the Czech Republic a few months before the end of the war. He was in the artillery, going by his listed rank, kanonier.

i don't have war pictures but i got war stories that are cool and they are legit.

when japan invaded they landed on the north and south of the island to make an encirclement pincer manuever on the u.s. forces. So the trapped u.s. forces and resistance figthers along with civilians tried to break out and my great grandfather was one of the resistance fighters and many got killed as they fight their way out of the encirclment including civilans that went along with them to escape the japanese encirclement.

There were tanks and planes bombing their positions my grandmother was 6 at that time with her mother were captured. And put in prison camp and the men were killed hundreds or maybe 1000+ were killed and dumped into rivers or in ponds that were created by bombs.
Then there were two japanese officers who were good to my grandmother they gave chocolate and made her dance and sing lol after some weeks later they let the two of them escape because of the orders that familes of the guerillas will be killed if they don't surrender. And hid in the mountains and lived in caves for a year their main diet while in the caves were bats they stayed there until the end of the war.

Pics of Finnish soldiers. In photo of three standing soldiers in the middle is famous Lauri Torni alias Larry Thorn. He had a long military career, from Finland to German and finally to USA. In one photo he is in German uniform. He died in Vietnam in chopper crash.

Another special photo shows the text left by bitter Germans before they had to leavet Finland in April 1945.

Finnish general Väino Valve was also gruppenführer (photo 6)

    Three simple facts about Finns:
    1. Baltic Finnic languages (including Finnish) never came from the Volga basin along with ancestors of present-day Finns.
    2. Finnish I1 (around 30% of all Finns) has Germanic roots from the late Bronze Age or the early Iron Age.
    3. As to the Finnish prehistory we have no evidences about any Iron Age (or later) east-to-west migration, but many unquestionable evidences about west-to-east migrations.

Yeah, I had the same photo of Törni, also in my pictures I posted earlier.
This photo of Törni/Thorne was taken on the day of the crash in Vietnam.

More wartime photos: destroyed old tanks, Finnish men, cars.

The big hole is caused by a German Stuga bomb. In the 7th photo black plays hazard and likely will lose the game.
