USA right now hasn't come out with much talent, and I am not speaking of rock bands but of any given genre. The USA hip-hop culture has been a disappoint along with the RnB. Music in the USA is falling apart and now no one is turning to that country for music, they are turning to other countries for it.

I prefer American bands for sure. Most popular American bands/musicians can sell out in the UK and not really vice versa. I am speaking in a more contemporary sense. 80's-now.

Obviously the UK, most of the American bands you listed I've never ever heard of other than Metallica, R.E.M, Nirvana and the Doors.

There is a shitload of underground talent that would blow the mainstream sound out of the water here.

I wouldn't know with all honesty because I only listen and see what the mainstream USA media brings us over to the UK and it is just things that I don't find it to be talented, get me blud. If you were to ask me what talented artist is out in the USA right now, my mind would go blank. It would be great if you posted some of that underground you are speaking of. Usher used to do really great RnB music, but his recent stuff have turned out to be just crap.

This thread is about rock, but heres a rapper who should be more known from here. I haven't been listening to much hip-hop lately to be honest so I am not the best source for this.

He is a good rapper, we have good rappers in the UK too but the thing is that because we have "funny" accents or we sound funny rapping, our music will not be heard in the USA. I don't know if you have ever gotten the chance to listen to UK hip-hop/grime music, but that is all I listen to.

You listen more to rock than hip-hop?
