Even when 23andMe manages to pin down said ancestry under 10% on a specific place/country (as in, showing that it is not noise) in the process?

Kinda. I think we do need a cut off point when it comes to racial percentages. Otherwise we'd say that most Mexicans (most Mexicans are ~4% SSA) are triracial.
However, I would never stop anybody from claiming whatever racial make up they have, no matter how small. If a dude's DNA test comes back with 1% SSA and decides that he's proud of it... fine.

I think ultimately it's about your phenotype. For example, the two typically mestiza-looking girls that have significant SSA will not be seen as "triracial", but in fact are. They could easily be closer to 65/35 = euro/native, based on looks alone. The SSA isn't really visible, but its definitely there.

Very true, you look at me and i look mestizo-ish, 36% native,41% euro and rather pale, high cheekbones and extremely straight long black hair, but i'm Dominican and that African will always be there 19-20%!

I normally get mexican/ecuadorian, sometimes colombian.

Yeah I hear you. Belize is country of outliers lol. There are clines among Kriols and Mestizos, people who are a mix of both, there are minority ethnicities that are quite homogeneous and isolated.
Then like 1/4 of the population that is just a mixed bag of everything.
