Why won't you use your own words on the matter, have you actually put thought into your worldview?
How is providing you with 8 free books which you can read at your leisure not educating you?

I can discuss this topic in depth in my own words, but it isn't worth my time trying to explain things in depth if you don't even understand how free markets work. You are not stupid, only ignorant.

My OP is pretty simple. There are not many sentences/statements/claim. If something I said is false then it should be easy for you or another poster to quote and say: "This is wrong/false/incorrect because _______." But your true agenda is to insult me "stupid/ignorant" and not teach me about Libertarianism? If you just want to issue ad homs then I will not respond further to your troll-baits. You can discuss & engage… or not. It is your choice.

Implying that I don't know what I'm talking about, without being specific, is non-threatening and anti-intellectual.

If people write bullshit then it should be easy to quote a statement, claim it false, and correct it.

So you are welcome to quote any wrong/false/incorrect statement in the OP, thanks Jonny. If you have nothing more to contribute then I will not respond further to your participation in this thread.

I said you were NOT stupid. I said you were ignorant though. I am ignorant myself. Remember Socrates, "I know that I know nothing".

Your statement that libertarianism 'has no "non-aggression" principle' shows your ignorance. This is undoubtedly THE central principle of libertarianism.

In order to learn, you must accept that you don't know everything.

Another example of a fundamental misunderstanding of libertarianism. One of the main foundations of libertarianism is property rights, that a man first and foremost owns himself and the fruits of his labour. This concept comes from John Locke and when combined with the non-aggression principle forms the basis of opposition to taxation and states.

Anarcho-Capitalism is a form of libertarianism.
There are other forms which retain very small governments to deal with laws and law enforcement.

I'm still waiting for you to speak about Libertarianism yourself, instead of posting references.

Why not demonstrate that you know what you're talking about? No links, just use your own words.

Libertarianism is about contracts. You only "own" a property if you have its deed and loan. You pay taxes to the federal government, in exchange for military protection. Without taxation and government, another group of people with guns will come and steal your land.

Every "Right" imaginable is based on contracts and constitutions, mutual agreements by honest men.

Unless you are a Christian and believe in "God-given Rights". This is an exception.

Or you can be a European Pagan and believe in the Divine Right of Kings, a monarchist position.

Modern English and Britons are Monarchists, not Libertarians. The US is a perfect example of Libertarianism; because the US constitution trumps/triumphs over the Divine Right of Kings. Englishmen still believe in Monarchism, not Constitutionalism. The Queen of England can trump her British constitutions and suspend the Parliament at any moment. She has absolute authority and rule, over you.

You are not free Jonny. You do not live in a free society. That is reserved for US. Freedom through Contract and Constitution. You participate in society by your Choice. Nobody is forcing you. This is Freedom.

Nope. I guess you don't know about homesteading either.

You don't know about homesteading, you don't know about the non-aggression principle and you don't know about property rights.
These are three of the central concepts in libertarianism, any fool could find that out with a quick google search or peak at wikipedia.

Yet here you are trying to tell us about libertarianism. At least know the basics about what you are trying to debate before lecturing others.
