    yeah your right and also probably the africans in africa themselves probably had been different back then then now not all of course, and mixing. I wanted to ask you if you know any former maroon towns in the Dominican Republic? i heard there was quite a few, villa mella might come to mind but everybody knows that one, although idk if cofradias are considered of cimarron/maroon origins.

    As we all know, the Dominican Republic is has a multi ethnic African populations from morocco all the way down to Namibia. I took the liberty to search up some tribes that i find pretty similar to Dominicans, in terms of language phenotype, way of living and expressing and culture

    Lemba, what tribes are likely to be related to us? in your blog it says that about 30% of Dominican slaves came from the tribes by the rivers of kwanza and dande. I found some pictures of those tribal people i will post them here

    I thought Dominicans had more Senegambians than Angolan? Didn't know they had that much Angolan.

    Damn... It seems all the pretty slaves had Angolan ancestry(Dominicans, Afro-Brasilians, Maryland/GA Aframs, Afro-Colombians,etc). @Celph Titled you really on to something. Ese.
