In Ancestyr and 23andme some of my family does indeed have Italian relatives , ranging from 6 to 18 cm.
Interesting, didn't know this. Could you pm me your 23andMe mail to see if we are related?

Question, do you think that the new Native American scores are accurate? With both of the updates to 23andme and AncestryDNA, my Native American has jumped a couple of percentage points...

On Gedmatch, I am around ~30% Native American, while on 23andme and Ancestry I am about ~34%.

I'd say so, I've seen almost every Mexican's Native American percentage climb up a little on AncestryDNA and 23andme update, including my own.

My AncestryDNA jumped from 50% to 56%

    My 23andme jumped from 50% to 52%

GedMatch I'm still around 45-49% Amerindian(if you add the Siberian and East Asian scores)

Just remember this is not an exact science, they're estimates of what your autosomal ancestry is ranging around.

Who knows because Argento the guy who did this would've picked up on it, since he uses the GedMatch family tree thingy where Latinos list all their ancestors and the year they were born. I am sure if the Dominican samples had Italian surnames he would've mentioned that the Italian is coming through some Italian ancestry found in Dominicans

Luciano isnt Italian, it can also be found in Iberia, even Angola has tons of Lucianos
Basilio, I doubt that is Italian
the only one you list that is indeed Italian is Calcagno

Alot of Algerian Berbers and other Berbers have Latino matches, often from Carribean, especially Cubans. Some Cubans seem to have very recent Canarian ancestry.

Remember gedmatch admixture does NOT calculate the X.

Ancestry and 23andme Do the X. Except Ancestry doesn't do matching on the actual X.

Thank you for the information, I knew 23andme calculated the X, though I wasn't aware that AncestryDNA did as well.

I have been seeing way too many Mexicans getting South Asian after they got this update, I feel like its misreading it and its not actual South Asian ancestry
