This sums it up well. Fears that people might "become" sexualized are baseless, because they don't take into account the fact that humans are intellectually sexual. If anything, these music videos are a good thing. They mean that Somalis are shedding the totalitarian grip of religion and living more normal lives.

Case in point. This is not normal.

Another thing i don't understand about Egyptians and Islam. In Egypt you can go to places with women dancing topless and or NAKED. How is this possible?

Where did you get that from? I highly doubt such places exist over there.

Humans need to embrace their "inner animal" eventually .

Oh, Beyoku is well traveled, he's probably seen more of the Horn for example than I have... I've only been to Addis (I was a little boy and don't recall much), Djibouti city, Hargeisa & Bosaso and some random places in Northern Somalia, lol.

It's a weird dichotomy between "culture", "necessity" and religion in some places. I've always found it very weird how some Afar nomad women (an ethnic group that is more or less 99.99% Muslim) are so comfortable with being topless like this: [-] , [-].

Most do cover up but I've known a guy who's been to one of their camps, some women were very comfortable with being topless and having their hair and braids out...

Nice. I would guess a place for higher-placed Egyptians? Interesting that they allowed foreigners in.

As for your question: I know that religion in the hands of many people dilutes the religion, but it's still hard to grasp mentally. Reminds me of that Soviet film that shamelessly marketed Marlboro cigarettes. Very out of place for their Socialist ideology, yet it's there in a popular Soviet comedy watched by millions of Soviet people.

The nudity is highly desexualised in their case and most males, even foreign ones can do this mentally too. Even though these aren't ugly women and neither are their breasts. It's an example of how complicated life is.
Maybe not entirely the same, but I know that in Arabic-speaking cultures is very acceptable of a woman to breastfeed their infant in public. Showing breasts = whore and stone-worthy, unless they're lactating breasts with a baby nearby. Well, I've read a rumour that in Arabic there are different words for 'breasts' and 'lactating breasts', desexualising the latter. In my opinion the baby would be the desexualising factor, not the fact she's lactating lol. But heck, my source is a travel guide about Morocco written by some British guy so I took it with a grain of salt (about the Arabic language that is, the rest is obviously true).

Nudity is sexual depending on circumstance anyway.

Intellectually? Damn, I meant instinctively. This is what happens when I try to write a post immediately after waking up.
